about the webmaster

hello to all that happened to stumble upon my website! i go by many names but atlas and cujo are my personal favorites. i'm an 18 year old furry artist that spends most of my time creating, whether it be for my original characters or fan content that is usually never seen by eyes other than my own.

i've been illustrating since i was 6 or 7 years old and i've recently taken up writing as well! i wouldn't say i'm the best at it, but i'm happy with what i've made so far and it's been a fun learning process regardless of my work's quality. i also occasionally toy with other art mediums, particularly textiles and 3d modelling software. i love to experiment!

if i'm not making my own stuff then i'm browsing the web for existing media to enjoy! some of my all-time favorite games include corru.observer, rain world, hollow knight, don't starve together, terraria, celeste, the binding of isaac: repentance, deep rock galactic and balatro. i barely watch tv shows or movies, but i've recently enjoyed avatar: the last airbender, prehistoric planet, scooby doo: mystery incorporated, neon genesis evangelion, paprika (2006), i saw the tv glow (2024), nope (2022) and talk to me (2023). i also really enjoy ichthyology and paleontology!

i'm well aware of the fact that my identity is strange to many: i'm plural, alterhuman, objectum and have a variety of queer labels that seem to contradict each other. nowadays, i take pride in this peculiarity and am happy to share my experiences with those who ask in good faith. i'm confident in who i am and refuse to conform or hide away parts of myself in order to please others (online, at least. i'm much less bold in the flesh)

why make this website?

simply put: i got sick of modern social media. twitter is a shithole, tumblr annoys me, bluesky is barren, the fediverse also annoys me and most discord servers just aren't for me. i've enjoyed my time on sheezy and cohost, but sheezy is primarily a gallery site and cohost isn't going to last much longer. the need for a personal website to blog with quickly grew until i just couldn't ignore it any longer!

html/css is definitely a very new endeavor for me; i've worked with similar languages in the past (the simplified html deviantart had pre-eclipse & tailwind), but i didn't touch the real deal until late 2023, when i finally decided to invest time into studying it... it wasn't nearly as daunting of a task as i thought it would be and i got the hang of the basics almost immediately! i was honestly a little mad i hadn't decided to start earlier.

initial progress was slow, partly due to being a virtual high-school student with horrible time management and partly due to hyperfocusing on everything but website building. i've since graduated and moved out of my old household, so i have much more time and energy to spare on this site! yippee!

y'know i just kind of put this third bar here without thinking of what should go here...

maybe some stamps? links to my currently social media? testimonials from friends and loved ones? who knows! there is much potential to be had
